Parker Mitchell Lyman

On April 14th, 2013 Parker Mitchell Lyman was born at 2:24am. He was a whooping 10lbs, well 9 lbs 15.5oz once they got him on the scale, after he peed twice.  I was 37 weeks and so grateful to go into labor.  I started having contractions Saturday night about 9 pm   They were off and on and not that strong but as the night went along they got worse and we checked into the hospital around 12:30. Once I was monitored for about 15 minutes they talked to the Dr. and then away they went.  They started IV's and got people in and out and had me in the OR with in about 45 minutes to do my section.
Besides being so excited to meet my baby boy.  I was also excited to move into the next phase of getting my life back to normal. I am so excited to be off bed rest, even though my body is so exhausted all the time.  Trying to recover from being on bed rest and recover from major surgery is going to take a while.
I was so grateful Mitch got to stay the first night at the hospital with me to help me try to get in and out of bed.  My kids like to make sure we start off with no sleep.  Every single one of them was born in the middle of the night after having a long exhausting day.  Parker was no exception.
We are so pleased to welcome the last member into our family.  We are adjusting to our new way of life.  Boys are getting used to having a baby around.  Payton likes to help when she is in the mode.  He is an excellent sleeper.  He hardly makes any noise so far, eats, sleeps and poops and that is about it.  It is really hard for me to put him down, knowing we aren't having anymore babies I want to savor every minute.  Newborn is one of my favorite stages, you can just hold and kiss all over them 24 hours a day.  I am not but I probably could easily if I didn't have 3 other kiddos to take care of.
A special THANK YOU to all of our family and friends that helped us out during bed rest.  You all know who you are and we wanted to get me far enough to have a healthy baby and Momma, and we made it.  We can't say Thank you enough and are extremely grateful for all of your support and love.

Garden Time

Today the kids helped Mitch get Phil and Karen's garden ready for planting.  The kids had so much fun helping move dirt.  The boys pushed the wagon back and forth with Payton to help load it up with dirt.  I of course had the hardest job of them all, I had to sit and watch and take pictures.  I told Mitch this should be my new job with all house projects.  I don't know why he didn't agree with me.
We aren't able to have a garden in our yard, but Karen has always wanted one and I would love to have one.  So we are planting some vegetables together in their backyard.  We knew the kids would love to help get it ready and plant the seeds.  It wasn't as warm as we would have liked but the garden is all ready.  After changing their dirty clothes we headed home for lunch and naps.  Boys slept great after all their hard work this morning.  They should love getting to pick vegetables when it's time.  Plus I know I will be excited to have some good home grown veges this summer.

37 Weeks and Room Ready

We have made our deadline.  We have been praying for the past 9 weeks, since I was put on bed rest to keep him inside and safe.  Now I have hit my 37 mark and my prayers are now that he comes out.  My scheduled c-section is 2 weeks from today.  I know we will then get to meet our sweet baby boy.  If he decides to come a bit sooner I would be happy about that for sure.  I am uncomfortable, huge and ready to try to get used to our new normal of life.  I know I won't bounce back the minute I deliver but I am looking forward to start the process.  I know that my family is looking forward to having Mommy back as well.
I have learned that while on bed rest you pack on the weight, I have officially hit the same weight I was when I delivered the boys.  Yes I know twins and this time there is only 1 baby.  Sitting around for 23 hrs a day doesn't obviously burn many calories.  To bad that isn't how it works.
I can't wait to hold my precious little boy.
We even have his room all ready for him.  We got the crib raised up, decorated, and the closet all organized.  It is ready to be home to the next little boy in this family.  I am happy with the way it turned out.  The baby room has been the same since Payton was born.  Our gender neutral room with bumble bees we did for Payton and kept the same for the twins.  Since this is our last we decided to give it a fresh baby look for the last one.

Easter Weekend

Payton got to start her celebration early.  Saturday night she went to see Disney on Ice.  Phil and Karen took her to see all her favorite princesses.  She had so much fun and came home with a glowing Ariel and she had a snow cone and got to bring home her princess cup.
Easter Sunday came and went like a flash.  The kids found their baskets when they got up.  We all went to church ( I even had an outing and went with them, walk straight to my seat sat during service, then straight back to the car) I figured it was about the same amount of walking as going to the doctors office once a week.
After church our family came over to our house.  The kids had an Easter egg hunt, we all enjoyed a wonderful lunch that everyone contributed to, and had great company.  We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate Jesus and spend time with family.
