16 weeks

We are getting closer to the finish line everyday. I am now almost to the half way mark. I am finally putting on weight instead of losing it. That is always a good sign. I have now gained, 10lbs. I think it will be the only time in my life that I am excited about that. I am having some better days that I feel like myself and less like throwing up. I am sick only about once a week for the past 2-3 weeks. I am trying to still lay low and take it easy. Which as many of you know is very hard for me to do. I am starting to feel like I am pregnant, not just like I have the flu. Payton is noticing that my tummy is growing and talks to the babies, and loves to kiss my belly.
This next month the babies are going to double on weight. So far they look great and everything is going smoothly. We thank God everyday for such a great miracle and just pray they stay in as long as they need to be strong and healthy.

Bed Time Stories

One of the greatest gifts in the world is the joy of putting your child to bed. Our bed time routine is the same every night and I always cherish every moment. It varies of who is the one doing the bed time reading and tonight happened to be Mitch. I had left the room and walked back by while they were reading stories. Payton was helping by telling Mitch the animals as they came to them and making the sounds that went with them. I ran to quickly get the camera and video camera to capture such a precious moment. I don't put the video on-line but here is a picture. Payton gets to choose 3 books to read. First of course is bath time, getting her hair and teeth brushed. Then her favorite, story time. Once we are finished with her books she hoops into bed and we say our prayers, which she has memorized and I love hearing her say them. Give kisses to that cute little face that looks up to you and says " I love you, goodnight" You could not ask for anything better.

Summer evenings

Payton always loves to play outside. Unfortunately in this terrible heat if we are not swimming, I can't be outside with her it is too hot for pregnant mommy. She has been helping daddy working in the yard, watering flowers, and enjoying bike rides. This summer she got a new bike helmet, she loves wearing it. Dad gets to get in his workout and also entertain Payton at the same time. That bike trailer was a great investment. Next summer it will be a lot harder to take family bike rides with all 3 of them.
I think she would stay out all night if we didn't drag her in and make her take a bath. It is hard to believe in the blink of an eye the summer is going to be over. Soon the neighborhood kids will be walking to school each morning. Last year Payton would stand at the front door and wave as they walked by. I don't like to think that sooner than later she will be one of those kids.
