Our family is growing from 3 of us to 5. That sounds like such a big jump. We go from being first time parents and having a great first baby. We have the upper hand there is 2 of us and only 1 of her. Before we know it we will be out numbered with 3 of them. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it. We have known that we were pregnant but last week we had an OB check up and an ultrasound. I also had blood work drawn a couple of times to check my HCG levels. Each time we were told the results and they were a little on the high side but nothing that screamed there is more than 1 in there. I had asked the nurse the day before my check up what it meant that my levels were 14,000 at 6 weeks? She told me the standard response,' it has a possibility but doesn't mean you are having twins, don't worry about it you will see the doctor tomorrow.' Yeah.... right, that was a total line, because right when she started the ultrasound, it obvious.....2 plain as day. I started to cry I was so excited. Poor Mitch couldn't believe it. He was excited but the initial shock and his face turning white had to wear off first.
So yes we are having twins, the are not identical, they are feternal, in their own sacs. I am going to follow doctors orders closely and hope we can keep them growing safely in my tummy for as long as possible. We are praying for no bumps in the road and my body to cope well with all the changes headed it's way. We will keep you all posted through this wonderful adventure that God has blessed us with.

Summer Time
So far the start of summer has been great. Last week Payton started her swimming lessons. She is like a little fish and loves the water. She is swimming great and learning to do a lot with only her little float on her back and no help from mom or dad. I am so pleased to see that she loves the water so much. She would go to the pool all day everyday if someone would take her. We have been enjoying spending great family time together and takin it easy since we kicked off summer with a vacation.
Memorial Day was relaxing and spent great family time with my Aunt and Uncle from Guam and my 3 great cousins. We had pool time, went to Chucky Cheese one afternoon, and had an adult only dinner night. I always feel so blessed that we all get family time in even though so many of them live so far away. They all make such great efforts to make sure we get together. They are starting a new life adventure moving to Cambodia this month. We will be thinking and praying for them to have safe travels and get comfortable quickly.
Looking forward to the rest of summer and trying to stay out of the heat, or the storms.

Road Trip
A couple hours after we celebrated Mitch's graduation we loaded in the car to start our drive to Florida. My family spent a week in Destin, Florida for a much needed relaxing vacation. We decided to drive through the night so the kids would sleep through more than half of it. That was a great choice it was great to only have to stop to fill up gas, not because little people needed to go to the bathroom. We stayed at a condo on the beach that was wonderful. Besides driving almost the entire way in the rain, once we arrived we enjoyed beautiful weather the remainder of the trip. The beach was beautiful and the water clear as could be. We played on the beach, enjoyed some good sea food, enjoyed a dolphin and sea lion show, and had good family time.

Ice cream treats to honor Aubrey turning 3 The kids did great with all the car rides. Once it was time to load up and leave Florida to head to Indiana we left by 6 am on Saturday to make it to Tennessee at a good time. Mitch had found the Jack Daniels brewery is in Tennessee and we could go and tour it on the way to Indiana. It worked out great considering it was time to let everyone stretch their legs and let all the little crazy ones run around and burn some energy. So we took a tour of the brewery and let the boys pick up some souvenirs of course. Then loaded back up to finish our drive. We finally arrived to Indiana by 7:30pm. That was definitely a long travel day and everyone was extremely tired of riding in a car.
It was great once we got there to see our cousins and Aunts and Uncles. We stayed along the river in 2 adorable old houses. The Blanton/Lyman family in one house, and my grandparents and the Fetherman's from Guam in the other house. The rest of my cousins stayed with my Aunt and Uncle that live in Indiana. It was a short but fun trip getting to spend time with everyone was wonderful, it had been 4 years since that has happened.

Graduation!
May was a very busy month, that makes me extremely behind on updated posts. Mitch finished grad school and on May 15th had Graduation. We are so proud of him and all of his hard work. He has worked so hard and been so great to Payton and I. We are both happy for him that he has some extra time back to have fun. We all enjoyed the ceremony, even Payton. She did have a couple of distractions to help with that.

We are so proud of Mitch. We are both so blessed to have such a hard working man taking care of us.
