I just got home from girls weekend Sunday night. On Thursday afternoon I left to go to Arizona to stay with Grammie and Guppy, Stephanie's grandparents. We decided we needed a girls weekend getaway on a tight budget. Grammie and Guppy were nice enough to let us crash their beautiful house in Arizona for the weekend. They had 4 girls that talked non-stop with them all weekend long. They didn't seem to mind much. I think they just took their hearing aids out at night so they could go to sleep while the 4 of us caught up on life. We had a great time. It is always so refreshing just hanging out and talking with your best friends. We would get up and go running in the morning and then come back and lay by their pool in their backyard. We went for a hike one morning, which was beautiful. In the evenings after showering and getting ready we went out to dinner and believe it or not we talked some more. We never ran out of anything to say and had the best time together. We all are very busy and don't always have the time to catch up but when we get together we pick up right where we left off and just keep on going like not one day has passed. It isn't very often that you make friends the these girls and I am so grateful that I have them around whenever I might need them. I hope everyone takes some time now and again to relax and refresh it is well worth it. Although I missed Payton and Mitch terribly I knew they were having their own Father Daughter time, which is also very important.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone! Payton loved Easter this year, with many more things to do. She didn't sleep the whole day like last year. We celebrated on Saturday with an Easter egg hunt at our house. The Easter bunny came to visit a day early since he was so busy. Some of you might know the bunny as Uncle Carl Murphy. He dressed up like the Easter bunny and came through the back yard left behind some eggs and then was on to the next house. The girls had a great time in the beautiful weather gathering their eggs. Payton picked up the idea quickly and loved putting eggs into her basket. She was even able to walk and carry her basket all by herself. She didn't get anywhere very quickly but we had all day so it didn't matter. We all enjoyed a great lunch together, visiting and watching the 3 girls play with each other.
On Sunday morning we went to church together and then went out for brunch with the Lymans. We went to Cheesecake Factory and it was wonderful. Payton received her last Easter basket with eggs, books, and come clothes. She was loving it all, especially the books. She absolutely loves to read, which is wonderful. We just have to keep it that way. We read books all day long throughout the day. She even reads to herself which is very entertaining. I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter, I know that we did. Thank you Jesus for all that you do and allowing us to celebrate this day with you.

WALKING!!!!
So I know I always blog a couple days after something happens, but better late than never right? So on Thursday Payton officially walked across a room. It is so funny to watch her, but she is doing so good. She will hold your finger now and walk along side of you. She will even let go of the couch and walk towards something that she wants. She still gets really excited and will fall at you when she is walking toward someone. I am sure I will regret soon that she is walking when I am chasing her around the house as she attempts to get into every cabinet. It is still amazing to me how much they learn and change so quickly. That is all the fun news with Payton.
She did get to visit with her Auntie Amy while she was in town visiting for the week. I know that she enjoyed getting to see her, she doesn't see her as often as she did since Amy moved to Florida. It was great to get to see her. She is 32 weeks pregnant and looks absolutely wonderful. We can't wait to meet her little prince that will join us at the end of May.
