I have decided there are just not enough hours in a day. It doesn't matter what time you get up and get started Saturdays always seem to fly by so fast. We only have Saturdays to get house chores done, family time, playtime etc... Friday night we enjoyed time with friends and didn't get home until 11. The boys went down at their house and came home and went right back to sleep. We let Payton stay up and play, so she crashed when we arrived home. Cooper decided not to sleep well and started waking up every 45 min or so from 12:30 on. Holy cow not much sleep.
Saturday morning rolled around quickly and Mitch got up and went to the grocery store. He was home by 8. One of our friends came over to help him with wiring the basement. While the guys did that, I took the kids and went to the Legends to the outlet to look for shoes for them and Easter outfits. The shopping trip was a success found exactly what I wanted and found good deals and didn't spend much. Once Mitch was finished in the basement he went to flag us a new tree ( one in our front yard is dead), and pick up fertilizer for the grass. After running is couple of errands he made it home by 3:30. Once I had arrived home from shopping and having lunch with the kids, they all went straight down for naps. That gave me just enough time to pick up dog poop for Mitch and get the car vacuumed out and garage floor swept out before Cooper woke up and Mitch arrived home.
He unloaded the car changed the oil in the mower so he could mow the grass. I took all the kids outside to enjoy the nice weather and pulled the boys in the wagon, while Payton worked on riding her bike. I got them in around 5 to get ready for dinner. Mitch just started putting down fertilizer, ( he worked quickly) came in jumped in the shower. He came down to finish feeding kids and my turn to shower. I left for work at 5:45. Made it, barely. Good thing for pony tails, put up the hair and go! The garage was clean and ready for Mitch to start bringing boxes up from the basement after the kids were in bed.( more to come on the basement later)
I think we got in a couple of smiles and kisses. I just don't think there are enough hours in the day. Chores always take longer than you think and then off to work. It was a beautiful day outside and we all got to enjoy it, even if it wasn't all together or doing the same thing at the same time.
